Letter: Murderous mindset
This letter addressed to “orange haired guy”: You won. Get over your tweets. You used to be pro-choice, you thought that the Electoral College was a “disaster,” you put a person who never went to public school in charge of education. Build a wall — really?! Build education so that our kids are filling tech jobs and putting focus less on them getting “outsourced harvesting produce and milking cows jobs.” Make it legal for small family farms and ranches and small business to employ workers from other countries, as well as for the workers from countries who are willing to do work that “American” workers really don’t want. Have you ever washed a single dish in your life?
My grandmother taught English for the Defense Department, and I grew up having Thanksgiving dinner with an interesting mix of pilots in training from Saudis, Iranians, Peruvians and other various pilots from countries that America was friends with, including even Idi Amin. She was stationed in the Congo in the ’70s.
I was sharing turkey, on an “American holiday” with Saudi royalty at 5 years old.
The majority of people in the world do not wish us ill will.
Do not forget Timothy McVeigh or the numbers and names of the many American born here who have been murdered by fellow Americans.
It is not specific to a race or religion to murder; it is specific to a mindset that hates enough to take lives. A white kid murders black members of a church. Get it? Probably not.
