Letter: Need for term limits

As I observe our current election, it becomes obvious to me that term limits need to exist on all levels. Senate, Congress, Supreme Court, state, county, city, local, judiciary, even HOA. As it stands that is insurmountable.

I would presume to suggest that people actually engaging in politics and pursuing an elected position or otherwise charged with a similar position should voluntarily leave that position in a reasonable time line, and either pursue a higher position or retire from that position. A time line, say perhaps one along the lines of the president of the United States, eight years is that unreasonable?

While many career politicians are at some point familiar with the needs of their voter base, times change, even if they are re-elected time and time again, we do not do the same thing with our president.

Go on to other things. Change is not always good, but eight years is enough of any of you.
