Letter: Photo in poor taste

The cover photo you chose for your paper on Oct. 28 was absolutely devoid of good taste or common sense.

I understand that hunting is an important part of the economy for Colorado and this county, but glorifying the murder of animals with a picture of men with guns showing off the bloody heads of their prey was disgusting and inappropriate for the front page, or any page.

I can’t question the judgment of these big men from Ohio coming all the way here to shoot at innocent animals (so impressive), because blood sport is legal and marketed in this county. I can, however, question the integrity of the Post Independent for the fawning hero worship of senseless violence that picture imbues.

Shame on you.
