Letter: Reporting on tragedy

I found your reporting of the tragedy that happened in Glenwood Springs last month similar to a tabloid story.

The death of Joe Llewellyn and his wife, Mary Kent, was a distasteful “recount” of what might have happened. And then your paper printed comments from friends who posted on Caring Bridge, a personal and very private place for us, their friends and family, to share confidences, photos, etc. — certainly not intended for public consumption.

I would appreciate an apology to their families and friends.

Editor’s note: Our deepest sympathies go to the family and friends touched by this tragedy.
