Registration open for Roaring Fork Women’s Triathlon Team

Registration is now open for the Roaring Fork Women’s Triathlon Team 2016 summer training program. Orientation meeting is Wednesday, April 20, at Glenwood Medical Associates. First training session begins on Wednesday morning, May 4, and continues twice weekly through Aug. 6. The program is in its 17th year of teaching women the basics of swimming, biking, running/walking, heart-rate monitoring and mental skills training to complete a sprint triathlon. One Book 4 Colorado

The Garfield County Libraries are promoting the importance of early reading by providing a free picture book (in English or Spanish) to any 4-year-old as part of the One Book 4 Colorado program. One Book 4 Colorado is a statewide initiative aiming to support family reading at home. Families of 4-year-olds can stop by any of the libraries from April 11-25 to pick up a copy while supplies last. For more information, visit http://www.gcpld.org.
