Excited by EL

I read with excitement the news that the Re-1 school board and Glenwood Springs Elementary School teachers unanimously approved the proposed conversion of GSES into an Expeditionary Learning school.

Congratulations to all who participated in the evaluation and decision process such that the support was unopposed. There will be highs and lows in the district’s efforts to continually improve, but this decision is certainly worth celebrating because it indicates that the Re-1 school district is embracing constructive and fundamental changes for the benefit of its students and doing so with the urgency that it deserves. Well done.
