Letter: A bridge for thousands … or a straight curve for a handful?

Garfield County commissioners, wake up and smell the money.

Apparently our Leadless Fuehrers are willing to fork over $3.5-ish million to straighten “Dead Man’s Curve” so that a few hundred cars a day are served. Yet at the same time, they balk at using the same amount of funds toward the South Bridge in order to potentially obtain 10 times the amount of money from the state, so that thousands of cars a day are served.

Throw in the fact that less fuel will be burned, plus reducing pollution and making Midland less congested, I could see how this decision would be a tough one. Not.

Go, leaders, go.
