Letter: A true Christmas story

On Dec. 21, I was leaving Wal-Mart and I asked two ladies if they were driving toward New Castle because I was tired and would appreciate a ride and would be happy to pay them $10. They said they would be happy to take me home, but did not want any money.

We had a friendly conversation and when they came to my building, I said the $10 was not for the ride, but for a small treat for one woman’s two sons. We all said “Merry Christmas.”

I went to get my mail but they did not leave, so I went up to them and the woman I gave the money to said, “You gave me two tens, not one.”

Honesty and love from God reigns especially during the Christmas season. Merry Christmas to one and all.
