Letter: April’s not in Glenwood

After recently moving to Glenwood from out of state, I was excited to read the Post Independent to gain an understanding of the news, culture, and events my new town has to offer.

Each Friday I started to read the April in Glenwood column, but found myself confused by the content. At first I could not tell if she was actually in Glenwood or not. However, over the past few weeks it has been glaringly obvious that while April may miss her beloved Glenwood mountain life, she now resides in Indiana.

She has recently detailed her spring break trip to the Cincinnati aquarium with her family and her disdain of Indiana politics even calling out the Indiana lawmakers and governor.

As a new community member wanting to learn more about the arts and culture scene in my town, I find the April in Glenwood column not relevant to Glenwood Springs. With so many talented young writers in this town, I am sure that there is another way to fill the need for a weekly local writer that lives and breathes this community. Please reconsider her column as a weekly addition as she no longer lives here and simply does not connect with her readers.

Disgruntled Millennial,
