LETTER: Clinton award shows how far our society’s standards have slipped

So, ex-President Bill Clinton will be receiving our nation’s highest civilian honor: The Medal of Freedom. What a perfect example of the extent our society’s moral and ethical standards have been debased. It is inconceivable to us that a person who has so disgraced the “oval office” is now being touted as one of the most deserving of emulation among us. Who is next: Anthony Weiner or the “PhD of race-baiting,” Al Sharpton? And we wonder why our nation has so declined? Wake up people! (So why do you think this particular award is occurring? Can you say “Hillary in 2016”?)
