Letter: Disappointed by RFTA

Holly Smith
Glenwood Springs

I was very disappointed to see that RFTA is canceling service to the Ninth Street bus stop due to the bridge project.

Many riders, including myself, already walk seven blocks to the Ninth Street stop; now that walk will be 12 blocks.

At a time when our community is supposed to be reducing traffic by 20 percent for the bridge project, it seems backward for RFTA to be cutting back on service instead of making bus transportation more accommodating.

Many individuals who depend on bus transportation to get to and from work are concerned about the lack of communication from RFTA on changes to bus service due to the bridge project.
