Letter: Easy way to fund detox center
Responding to the recent story about the dilemma Garfield County has regarding the need for a detox center, which I believe is an absolute necessity.
The question is always the same: “How can we fund it?
The answer is simple: Place the cost of building and maintaining it with the people responsible for causing it.
Instead of a new tax to all of Garfield County citizens, pass a new tax on all establishments selling alcohol and marijuana as they are the people responsible and therefore they should pay for it and not all of us.
