Letter: Fracking cartoon missed mark

Russell Hedman
Carbondale

Daryl Cagle’s editorial cartoon in the June 7 newspaper was grossly misleading. The EPA’s report does not say that fracking is safe. It says that they found no evidence of “widespread” contamination of drinking water resources, but they did find “specific” instances where fracking did contaminate drinking water. So, to call fracking safe is dishonest.
