Letter: Gas prices too high in the valley

According to the News Media, the price of fuel is suppose to go down. Well, we all know that here in this valley most of the gas stations won’t bother to even lower their prices, since you might have to raise them again in the near future.

Seems like this happened before and prices went down everywhere except in the Roaring Fork Valley. There is always some excuse for the price of gas here. So it will be interesting to see what happens.

Every company around has had to raise their prices significantly every time gas went up. Some raised it more than others. It never seems to go down quite as quickly as it goes up. So it should be interesting to see what takes place.

Some guy from Denver came through one time and he was astounded at the fact that it was not only expensive to live here, but that gas was so high. Much higher than Grand Junction. It was even higher than Vail and Edwards and Gypsum. I sure hope it goes down, but don’t hold your breath.
