Letter: GSHS track appreciation

The 2016 track and field season has come to a close for the Glenwood Springs High School athletes and coaches. We have a great deal to be proud of this season. Much of what we do during the spring is made possible by the generosity of the people and businesses in the Glenwood Springs area.

A huge thank-you must go out to all citizens and businesses that donated directly to the track program or to the Spaghetti Dinner Raffle. Independence Run & Hike, Advanced Carpet Care & Restoration, Matthew Goodstein M.D., Glenwood Tramway, Canberra Concrete Pumping, Architectural Concrete Finishes, Site West Development, Western Slope Materials, The Barsness Law Firm, Mike Kishimoto and Warren Industries Inc.

A special thank you to Larry Flores Sr. and the Flores Handyman crew for construction of the shot put and discus storage shed.

Much appreciation to Diana Sirko and the Roaring Fork School District for adopting and funding the new pole vault equipment.

Finally, we must recognize Geno’s Liquor for donating ice and the Denney Family for supplying water for the weekly ice baths that allowed our athletes to recover and be successful.

GSHS track and field appreciates the Glenwood Springs community.
