LETTER: Hickenlooper apologizes now?
I guess Hickenlooper is about to see his political career going down the tubes.
He threw out 33,000 petitions in front of the Colorado Legislature and refused to accept that two of the anti-gun advocates were recalled properly. He was told to not come to the Western Slope by a majority of the voters. He flies into Aspen to act like he is some kind of King of the Mountain. He sends a comment that he had no clue that his anti-gun bill was going to cause us to want to elect somebody from the Western Slope. He has pushed legislation that nobody wants in this state. He told us on the Western Slope if you want any roads and bridges fixed then you need to pay extra taxes for your vehicles.
We have the northeast portion of the state that wanted to declare themselves a different part of Colorado. There was a petition at one time to ask him to resign. Now his statement that he didn’t realize that his legislation would tear apart the state. He must have been smoking pot to make any of these statements. Like the Republican congressional nominee Dave Brat from Virginia said, it doesn’t take millions of dollars to beat an opponent, it just takes honesty and integrity. If Hickenlooper thought that Obama’s millions were going to get him re-elected, let’s just prove him dead wrong. Let’s get somebody honest for a governor from the Western Slope who we can trust.
