Letter: Hike over to the trails planning meeting

Hikers, bikers, runners and dog walkers who’d love to see a well-planned expansion of soft-surface trails are invited to a planning meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. The Two River Trails volunteer group and the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) will present an introduction to “Glenwood Springs Area Concept Trail Planning.”

Buoyed by the success of the Wulfsohn Mountain Park trail system, Two Rivers Trails, with assistance from IMBA and the Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association (RFMBA), is striving to develop a wider vision for trails. This presentation will address the economic and tourism benefits of trails and mountain biking, and build support for future area soft-trail projects. Public feedback on the Concept Trails Plan is encouraged.
