Letter: Hire more deputies and save $3 million-plus

Hey commissioners – are you telling me that it is more important to straighten “Dead Man’s Curve” than to (for example) hire four more county deputies at a fraction of the $3 million-plus cost? Really?

Quit wasting tax dollars on bogus road improvements that don’t need to be made, and quit wasting our tax dollars on nonsense. Four Mile residents like the curve — it’s a natural speed bump, but yet you apparently know better. Really?

Again: Put up a solar-powered “Curve” sign on Four Mile Road and be done with it, and then apply tax resources to more important things — like people and security — rather than making it easier for Big Gas to obtain access to the Thompson Divide. Really.
