Letter: Impeach senators
Just so we are all on the same page here, the following is the Oath of Office taken by all incoming U.S. senators: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”
Nothing in this oath or in the Constitution allows cherry picking which duties not to perform, condones or accepts the willful obstruction of the lawful proceedings of the Senate of the United States as mandated by our Constitution. There is no ‘tradition” or previous action, by either party, setting precedent for this outrageous behavior.
The Republican criminal conspiracy to refuse their constitutional duty in regard to the appointment of a replacement Supreme Court justice is a willful, intentional and illegal violation of the afore mentioned Oath of Office. Furthermore, if you don’t think that these actions lend comfort to and aid and abet our real-world enemies, you are seriously out of touch with current world reality. Every one of these servile traitors should be impeached. However, as that would be the duty of the Senate, we can rest assured that honor and justice will not be served.
If you really want to “make America great again” vote every Republican with “mental reservations” and “purpose of evasion” out of office and send them packing back to the corporate thieves, the Wall Street crooks who crashed our economy and their wealthy masters who have purchased their souls. Stop the endless assault on civil rights, voting rights, minorities, education and the poor. Take our money back from this cabal of fascists who are out to buy and own our country and leave everyone else second class citizens. Put our people back in control, rebuild our infrastructure and revitalize our economy.
Start a dialogue, stay on topic and be civil.
If you don't follow the rules, your comment may be deleted.
