LETTER: Petroleum producers are a benefit to Garfield County
Regarding “Forum reveals a low-key year in the Garfield County gas patch” (Glenwood Springs Post Independent, Sept. 13):
It is good and reassuring to know both the political economies of Garfield County and the state of Colorado have the Colorado petroleum industry to appreciate for maintaining their financial well-being and hopes for brighter future prospects.
Garfield County oil and gas development with 10,444 gas wells should have been celebrated at the recent Northwest Colorado Oil and Gas Forum in Rifle with champagne, orange juice, cake and ice cream.
I’d like to attend the next oil and gas forum to be among some awesome petroleum legends who follow in the footsteps of J. Paul Getty, Marvin Davis, John M. King, John D. Rockefeller Sr. and many others. I’d be in great company.
The forum was nothing low key about Garfield County gas patch. Where would the county be without our noble petroleum producers?
