Letter: Snowden finest patriot of this century
Just a bit more on the NSA’s new data farm in Bluffdale, Utah, which is the largest spy center in the country and the world; the servers at the innocuously titled Utah Data Facility will have the capacity to store “100 years worth of the worldwide communications, phones and emails,” according to former NSA technical director-turned-whistleblower William Binney.
If you believe the garbage from Obama about the type of data mining they are supposedly doing instead of listening to actual phone calls, you are truly naive about government. They are collecting everything. The information has already been misused and that will continue as long as they have it under the current police state rules. If you are silly enough to believe it won’t also be used for political attack, business espionage, personal gain and other nefarious purposes, you still have your head in the sand.
Almost everything, being released in the frantic cover-up of this abomination is a lie. Edward Snowden is perhaps the finest patriot of this century. If someone in our totally corrupt government is calling him a traitor, be sure to carefully examine what they actually do themselves.
John McCain, Darryl Issa, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the real traitors who are destroying our country, would be a good place to start.
The real traitors are the majority of representatives and senators who spend up to 70 percent of their time raising funds from the corporations and the wealthy so they can get re-elected and continue to serve the interests of the 1 percent who own them. For them, what little time they have left is spent obstructing the nation’s business if it does not bring profit to their masters.
If we do not get the private money out of our political system, and soon, the takeover will be complete. The Citizens United decision by the Supreme Court is only a symptom of the depth and breadth of the corruption in our courts, Congress and the executive branch.
The smoke-screen “issues” pandered by our captive press are meant to distract us… and they do.
