Letter: Sunlight field trip

Sunlight Mountain Resort hosted Sopris Elementary School’s fourth-grade students on Dec. 17 for their annual class ski field trip. This was greatly appreciated by students, parents, and the fourth-grade teachers.

This field trip encouraged students to take part in the free season pass that Sunlight Mountain Resort offers fourth-graders. The volunteer ski patrol instructed students on ski safety before they participated in complementary lessons offered by the ski school.

This field trip introduced many students to skiing for the first time. It helped all students make connections to the nature through participating this outdoor learning experience. Thanks to Sunlight Mountain Resort for making this all possible.
