Letter: Thanks a million for the pennies

Chandra Staff
Glenwood Springs
Founder, Million Penny Project for the Roaring Fork Valley

I really would like to say thank you to all the businesses throughout the valley allowing jugs to sit on the counters to collect pennies.

To Alpine Bank and the nice people who work there for helping count the money.

To Kim Wille and Growing Food Forward and all the volunteers, growers, and gardens who participated. I would like to thank my family, church, and friends who supported me, and a big thank you to all who donated financially.

My Million Penny Project collected over $19,000 and that was way above my expectations. My hope is you will all continue gardening and donating in the future.
