LETTER: Thanks for the satire, Ken
All the uproar over Ken Johnson’s column defending brain-dead Mr. Brainard, the self-admitted domestic violence perp, is amusing. I am certain Mr. Johnson was writing in the vein of an 18th century Jonathan Swift satiric essay (“A Modest Proposal” ).
Obviously, only a senile fool or misogynist would condone Mr. Brainards’s behavior justifying physical violence when his girlfriend refused to “shut up.” Calling the protesters a “lynch mob” was comic genius on Johnson’s part and I am sure he is quietly chuckling at the uproar over his satiric column.
Thank you ,Ken Johnson, for a good laugh.
