Letter: Thanks for YouthZone support

Lori Mueller
Executive director, YouthZone

All of us at YouthZone want to take the opportunity to thank all of the Post Independent readers for voting YouthZone as their favorite non-profit organization. What an amazing and touching recognition from our community, and we couldn’t be prouder.

In 2014, YouthZone saw 971 clients, in addition to 1,366 family members who sought guidance or assistance. While the majority of those we help are in Garfield County, we also see clients and families from Pitkin, Rio Blanco and Eagle counties. Each and every one of the kids who come to YouthZone are unique and special and deserve a chance to prosper. We aspire to be an essential partner with youth and families to restore their hope and view of what’s possible.

Through innovative prevention and intervention programs, as well as outreach, education and counseling, YouthZone’s highly trained staff and seasoned professionals focus on helping families and communities develop the necessary tools for raising empowered, confident youth.

Without the tremendous support of our volunteers, community partners and financial supporters, we couldn’t accomplish all that we intend to in a given year, month or day. Again, we thank you for your continued support of YouthZone and our efforts.
