Letter to the Editor: Thank you for sharing photos of pets for adoption

A heartfelt thank you from the cat and dog volunteer photographers of the Roice Hurst Humane Society for displaying so many of the animals up for adoption on your Snapshot pages. While not every cat or dog on your pages is adopted promptly, very often your large display photos of our animals bring potential adopters coming to meet the RHHS animals and find out more about the animals.

A special thank you to your graphics layout crew for showing off Jasmine the kitten long and stretched out climbing on the side of the cage in the Sept. 4 edition. It fit your column arrangement wonderfully! And so often the black, and mostly black, kittens at the shelter are the last to be adopted. What many people don’t realize is that these larger black kittens at the shelter are usually the ones with the best “people” skills, and are well socialized by the time they are adopted.
