St. Stephen’s’ Stars and Stories Astronomy Night a big success

The fourth- and fifth-grade classes from St. Stephen’s Elementary School would like to thank Sunlight Mountain Resort and Glenwood Adventure Company for helping to make our Stars and Stories Astronomy Night a big success. We were able to locate and view Venus and Saturn. We also found the star Vega and identified the constellations Cassiopeia, Draco and the little and big dipper. The students enjoyed using their iPod apps, along with telescopes and binoculars to map out the night sky. We finished up the night by warming up with hot chocolate and telling stories that students had written about far off galaxies and space travel.

Thank you for supporting our real-life learning,

Megan Dean and Kelly Hillbrand
