Letter: Vote “Yes” on 4A and 4B to retain teachers, relieve overcrowding

We have lived in the Re-2 school district for 25 years. They have done a great service for both of our children who grew up through the system. We have seen great teachers and administrators come and go. We have also seen these teachers have to hold down an extra job or two to make ends meet with the high cost of living. It is time to put a stop to the leakage of these talented people. The cost of turnover and training new teachers can be prohibitive.

It is also time to relieve the overcrowding of our classrooms so the teachers and students can have a decent learning environment. Please vote “Yes” for 4A/4B.

Art Riddile,

Mayor of New Castle
