Please join the Richardson family in a celebration of the 80th birthday of Wynne Richardson of Glenwood Springs. The party will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. No gifts, please.

Anna Alcorn won the 2008 American Society of Interior Designers Colorado Interior Design Award for her Traditional Residence. The program for this hypothetical residence was to create a flexible living environment for a large family, as well as extended family and guests. The space is grounded with elements of Italian and Brazilian cultures. The jury loved the evolution of the idea, as well as the luxurious material and furniture selections. The project will be featured in the June/July issue of Colorado Homes and Lifestyles Magazine.Anna is the daughter of Bebe Montieth-Byrd of Rifle and Stoney Alcorn of New Castle, and graduated from Rifle High School in 2004. She is a senior at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Lakewood. She is majoring in interior design with an emphasis on Green.Anna has accepted an internship with Lita Dirks, an interior design firm in Englewood. She has also interned with Studio 133 in Carbondale.

Michelle and Chris Krelovich of Rifle are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Makala Rene Krelovich, at 10:57 a.m. March 13, 2008. She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounce,s and was 201⁄2 inches long at birth.Makalas big brothers, Colten, 12, and Caleb, 18 months, are happy to have a baby sister.Proud grandparents are Tom and Nancy Briggs of Lima, Ohio, and Victor and Patricia Krelovich of Rifle.



Celeste Seydel Cashel graduated magna cum laude from the Colorado School of Mines with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering May 9, 2008. She will work for JR Engineering in Denver. Celeste graduated from Glenwood Springs High School in 2004.

Glenwood Springs Elks 2286 hosted its second annual softball game with YouthZone and the Pal Program May 2 at Two Rivers Park. Forty pals, mentors and parents from YouthZone and a dozen Elk members played softball game which ended in a tie. McDonalds donated burgers and buns for the Elk Members to grill up for all in attendance.
