A cruiser bike will be raffled off during intermission at the July 23 Summer of Jazz. The bike was donated by The Gear Exchange, Mary Noone painted it, and Nelson’s Auto Body ran it through two clear coats. Tickets are available at the T-shirt table or at The Gear Exchange during the week.

The Carbondale Hysterical Ladies teamed up with their historical neighbors July 7 for a luncheon on the lawn at Carbondale’s museum. Hosted by the Mt. Sopris Historical Society, the event was the perfect opportunity for the museum folks to show off the renovation progress in the old jail and the displays in the quaint, rustic log cabin museum.

The Vintage Apron Show, hung especially for the luncheon, showed off everything from old Hoover aprons from the 1930s to half-aprons popularized after the World War II years.

The museum is open from 1-3 p.m. most weekdays and puts on a number of fundraisers and educational events throughout the year.
