Rick and Linda French of Glenwood Springs announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Michelle French, to Charles Carroll Russell Rathell, son of Janice Rathell of La Plata, Md.Stacey, a 1998 graduate of Glenwood Springs High School, received her bachelor degree in psychology and criminology with magna cum laude honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001; master of forensic science degree from the George Washington University in 2004; and post-graduate certificate in national security and public policy at the George Mason University in 2006. Stacey has resigned her position as forensic investigator in Florida to accept a position in intelligence with the U.S. government in Washington, D.C.Charles is a 1992 graduate of McDonough High School, obtained his bachelor of criminal justice degree at the University of Maryland in 1998; and a bachelor degree in public law from Cambridge State University in 2005. Charles is the director of operations for the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Region of Tenable Protective Services.The bride and groom-to-be are planning a destination wedding in 2009.

Stacy and Gary Miller of Arvada, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Trisha Huskin, to James Paul Pettinger, son of Lawrence and Sharon Pettinger of Rifle.Trisha graduated from Arvada West High School in 2000. She attended University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. Her major was business with an emphasis in finance and graduated in 2004. She is employed at Ameriprise Financial in Denver.James graduated from Rifle High School in 2000. He attended Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kan., and Northwestern Junior College in Sterling. James earned his Journeymans Electrician card in 2006 and is employed by Encore Electric in Denver.Their wedding will take place in Arvada Aug. 8, 2008.



Cameron and Rebecca Bennett of New Castle are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Jordin Allen Bennett, at 4:03 p.m. June 9, 2008, at Valley View Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces, and was 19 inches long at birth.Big brother Jarred, 18 months, cant wait to play a game of catch with him.Proud grandparents are Rich Zimmerer of New Castle, Jane Addington of Denver, and Merry Bennett of Montrose.
