Heather and Kevin Knoedler are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Chris Zachary Knoedler, on Feb. 10, 2009, in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Chris weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long. Katie, 2 1/2, is his big sister. Proud grandparents are Bob and Sue Ludtke of Glenwood Springs and Louise Knoedler of North Platte, Neb.

Ben and Kristel VanHoose of Grand Junction are excited to announce the birth of their son, Teagan Matthew VanHoose, Feb. 1, 2009. He weighed 6 pounds, 3 1/2 ounces, and was 20 1/8 inches long.Proud grandparents are Matthew and Vonnie VanHoose of New Castle and Janet Johnson of Rifle.

Mat Hostetler, a 1993 graduate of Glenwood Springs High School, will receive a master of fine arts degree from The National Theatre Conservatory in Denver on April 25.In the final class of 2009 project, Mat will be playing the title role in Shakespeares Macbeth. Productions will culminate with graduation April 25 and a showcase in New York City on May 5.

Lisa Richards, daughter of Tim Richards of Silt and Karla Richards of Glenwood Springs, received an award for academic excellence from the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado.
