Ms. Noreen Nolan and Wayne Nolan of New Castle are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Donovan Michael Nolan, to Jennifer Lee Sawyer, daughter of Michael and Darby Sawyer of Casper, Wyo. (formerly of Rifle).

Donovan is a 1999 graduate of Rifle High School and will graduate this year from Southwestern College in Kansas with a degree in business administration and computer science.

Jennifer is a 2000 graduate of Rifle High School and will graduate this year from Southwestern College with a degree in business administration.



A wedding ceremony is planned in Rifle in June.

Madison Goodstein and Sierra Weast, both Glenwood Springs Elementary fourth-graders, were congratulated by Denver News4’s Ed Greene at the third annual “Who Wants To Be A College Student?” competition on Saturday morning in Denver. They were playing to win funds for their CollegeInvest Starter Account Scholarships. Madison and Sierra correctly answered questions about Colorado history, geography and trivia, and both won $650 for their CollegeInvest Starter Account Scholarships.
