Moreno-Womack wedding

Bradley Shane Moreno and Kristel Lee Womack of Glenwood Springs were married Sept. 13, 2003, in Moab, Utah, at the Sorrel River Ranch. They were married by Pastor Darryl Reeves of Carbondale’s Crystal River Baptist Church. Kristel is the daughter of Charles and Carmel Womack of Dallas, Texas; she is a 2000 graduate of Colorado Mountain College and works as a dental assistant for Dr. Mark Cook in Carbondale. Brad is the son of Debbie and Lou Moreno of Park City, Utah; he grew up in Boca Raton, Fla., and studied at CMC and the Denver Art institute. He now works at KB Co. Polarized Lenses in Aspen.

Junior Teen Pageant finalist

Laurren Elshof, 15, daughter of John and Karen Elshof, has been chosen as a state finalist in the Miss Colorado Junior Teen Pageant to be held June 25-26 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. The winner of the pageant will win $500 and sponsorship to travel to the national pageant.

Elshoff is active in dancing, teaching dance classes and managing Glenwood’s Grizzly Hockey team. Her sponsors include the Hot Springs Lodge and Pediatric Partners. She’s still looking for further sponsorship help: call 984-3195.

Local lottery winners

The scratch-and-win gods have been good to many people in the area this month. Evelyn Koules of Basalt won $1,175, Loren Mead of Rifle bagged $1,000 and Lester Stephens won $1,000, all on various Colorado Lottery instant win tickets.
