Al Maggard was honored for his 16 years of distinguished service on the Garfield County Community Corrections Board with a commemorative gavel. Maggard served with distinction on the board from 1988 to 2004.

The University of Northern Colorado honored David Self, son of Doug and Rebecca Self of Glenwood Springs, as one of its top students.

David was honored as one of the psychology department’s top students as part of the university’s Academic Excellence Week 2004.



“We are proud of these outstanding students,” said the dean of students, Jean Morrell. “They represent the best of our university.”
