April Lynch was one of 203 medical students who received the their doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) degree from The University of Health Sciences May 16, in Kansas City, Mo.

Dr. Lynch is the daughter of Wanda Scott of Grand Junction and Richard Leonard of Silt.

Lynch is a 1995 graduate of Paonia High School and will complete her residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Wash.

The St. Mary Knights of Columbus Council No. 11803 in Rifle recently announced their officers for 2004-2005.

The officers are: Fred Garcia, president; Father Robert Hehn, chaplain; Milton Zapata, deputy grand knight; Fred Gebert, chancellor; and Thomas Sisneros, recorder.

Though not newly elected, the other officers are: Lorin Meeder, financial secretary; Al Rodriguez, treasurer; Bellard Garcia, advocate bellard; Don Edgar, warden; and Gene Diaz and Ted Diaz, guards.
