Lloyd Manowns tuxedo for Ride the Rockies may have been a bit out of place in the mountains, not to mention on a bike, but he was turning heads all over the course. Lloyd and his wife Marlene, both retired teachers, rode in the bike ride a few weeks ago. Lloyd was a Basalt High School teacher and coach, and Marlene was a Glenwood High guidance counselor.

Kristin Erpestad of Rifle will marry Nicholas Eckmann of Loveland Saturday, July 17.Kristin, the daughter of Gary and Joan Erpestad of Rifle, is a 1999 graduate of Rifle High School and a 2003 graduate of Colorado State University. She works for Alyn-Weiss & Associates in Denver in public relations and marketing. Eckman, the son of Richard and Kathryn Eckmann of Loveland, is a 1999 graduate of Loveland High School and is studying criminal justice at the University of Northern Colorado.

Wally Dallenbach of Basalt was inducted in the Colorado Motorsports Hall of Fame June 27, and into the New Jersey Motorcycle Hall of Fame earlier this year.



Jessica Ann Morgan and Travis Leal Beery, who met at a Bavarian folk dance and accordion contest, will wed July 31 at High Peaks Camp in Estes Park. Jessica is the daughter of Betty and Richard McGinnis of Estes Park and Ocala, Fla.She works at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale as the staff accountant.Travis is the son of Kimball and Les Beery of Estes Park.Travis works at Paragon Technology Group in Aspen as a designer and installer of home theaters.
