Navy Seaman Apprentice Tomie Ogren, son of Kay J. Ogren of Cooke City, Mont., and Alan M. Ogren of Carbondale, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Illinois. Ogren is a 2002 graduate of Stevensville High School in Stevensville, Mont.

Since he was 9, Michael Corson dreamed he could become an Eagle Scout. At 7 p.m. Thursday, Michael, 15, will be honored at a special Eagle Scout Ceremony at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Glenwood Springs.

The public is invited to attend.

Michael, of Boy Scout Troop 277, had to earn 21 merit badges, serve in troop leadership positions, and spend more than 12 hours on community service to earn the Eagle Scout rank.
