Joy and Cathy Markuson announce the marriage of their son Jeremy to Joy Siebert. Joy and Jeremy were married Aug. 14, in the garden at the Aspen Chapel. The couple honeymooned in Cabo before returning to Fort Collins, where both graduated from Colorado State University. Joy is gainfully employed and Jeremy is pursing a graduate degree in conservation biology and restoration ecology.

Peter Waller, president of Junior Achievement of the Roaring Fork Valley, recently received an award from the national Junior Achievement office for his five years of volunteer service. Pete, along with his board of directors, has helped teach students the fundamentals of economics and bridge the gap between education and the real world. Junior Achievement information: 379-1365.

Carbondale Middle School’s eighth-grade volleyball team finished a fantastic season by going undefeated in their regular season. They beat just about every team from Aspen to Parachute. Good job, girls!
