Charlie Wertheim, of Glenwood Springs, won both the 5K and the 10K in the Strawberry Shortcut Masters division held Sunday, June 19. Congratulations, Charlie! (Doesnt he look thrilled?)
R. Garrett Waltsak made the deans list at Colorado School of Mines for the 2005 Spring semester with a GPA of 3.78. Garrett is a 2002 graduate of Glenwood Springs High School and the son of Richard Waltsak and Diana Kruis, of Glenwood Springs.
Michael Whiddon graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport/Entertainment/Event Management on May 21. In addition to two bachelors degrees, Michael graduated with a perfect GPA and was #1 in his class. For his extraordinary leadership and academic performance he was awarded the Universitys highest honor, the Presidents Award. His name was forever immortalized on a granite bench in the Johnson & Wales University Benefactors Garden. Michael graduated from Glenwood Springs High School in 2001.
