Pvt. Aaron M. Fry, son of Brian and Linda Fry, of New Castle, graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps Recruiting Depot 2nd Battalion, Golf Company Honor Platoon, on July 1 in San Diego. He will continue his field electrician training at Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Aaron is a 2003 graduate of Glenwood Springs High School and the grandson of Scott and Mary Leslie, and Chuck Fry, and the nephew of Alan, Julie and Gwen Leslie, all of Carbondale.

Wade and Kellie Higgins, of Rifle are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Lee Allen Higgins. He was born at 1:48 p.m. May 18, 2005. He weighed pounds, 1 ounce, and was 181⁄2 inches long at birth.

Proud grandparents are Jeri Hayes, of Rifle, Russ and Evelyn Mathis, of Craig, and Steve and Cheri Aab, of Greeley.
