Carter and Nancy Page, of New Castle, announce the marriage of their son Christopher (C.J.) Page to Brianne Spence, daughter of Shelly and Larry Spence, of Weippe, Idaho, on June 18.

The wedding was an outdoor ceremony in Weippe.

The two met last year while both worked at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. C.J. graduated from Rifle High School and attended Colorado Mountain College, and worked for many years at the caverns and at Sunlight Mountain Resort. He is the grandson of Charles and Mary Sprick, of Glenwood Springs.

Brianne recently graduated with honors from the University of Idaho.

After a trip to the Oregon coast, Christopher and Brianne will live in Sandpoint, Idaho.

PAGE International announced June 27 that it chose a screenplay by Kim Doose as a quarterfinalist in an international screenwriting competition.

Doose’s feature film, a crime thriller, competed against entries from 1,904 writers from 33 countries and 48 states.

Doose has representation from an East Coast literary agency and is at work on her next major writing project, a nonfiction book.

She is the “Our Towns” reporter for the Post Independent.
