Local alumni of the Colorado School of Mines gave a send-off to three Glenwood Springs High School seniors who will be entering the School of Mines in the fall. The reception was held at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and hosted by owner Steve Beckley, a Mines graduate.

Clate and Michelle Harden, of Silt, are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Clate Harden V, at 6 p.m. on July 29, 2005, at Valley View Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 203⁄4 inches long at birth.

Proud grandparents are Mike and Tina Abel, and Clate and Sylvia Harden, all of Deer Park, Texas.
