Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lewis announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsey Lewis, to Grant Heuschkel, son of Rob Heuschkel, of Glenwood Springs, and Kathy Onal, of Westminster. An April wedding is planned.

Brandon and Terena Gross, of Silt, are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Logan Michael Gross, at 5:31 p.m. Oct. 7, 2005, at Valley View Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 21 inches long at birth. Proud grandparents are Rocky and Lisa Gross, of Silt, and Darin and Brenda Leuallen, of Ispheming, Mich.

Neil and Janice Pursley, of Glenwood Springs, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Sean Pursley, to Jessica Campbell, daughter of Gary and Tonya Campbell, of Palmdale, Calif.The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Highlands High School in Palmdale. She is currently a student at Colorado Mountain College and works for the Bank of Colorado in Glenwood Springs.The groom-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Basalt High School, with a prior education at Desert Christian School in Lancaster, Calif. Sean is also a student at Colorado Mountain College and works for Pursley Construction Inc.The couple is planning a 2006 summer wedding, and plan to make their home in Glenwood Springs.



Kristel Johnson and Ben Van Hoose were married Sept. 15, 2005, on the white sands of Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. They held a reception for family and friends on Oct. 8 in Glenwood Springs.They are currently living in Grand Junction, where Kristel is employed as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital. Ben works for Alpine Bank.Kristel is the daughter of Dene and Janet Johnson, of Rifle, and Ben is the son of Matt and Vonnie Van Hoose, of New Castle. Both are 1999 graduates of Rifle High School.

Noelle and Dan Close, of Parachute, are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Lisa Close, born at 12:39 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at Valley View Hospital. Early by five weeks, she weighed 4 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 17 inches long. Perfect in every way, she went home right away to live with her family, including brothers Taylor and Zachary. Proud grandparents are Lisa and Ken Wilson, of Glenwood Springs, and Greg Close, of New Castle; great-grandparents are Jan Burns, of Rifle, and Nita and Bert Close, of Carbondale.
