A Sopris Elementary School student is receiving needed eye surgery, thanks to a joint venture between Glenwood Springs Lions Club and Sopris Elementary School parents. Funds were raised from the Bronco Basketball game, sponsored by the Lions Club, which took place March 19 at the Glenwood Springs High School gymnasium. Sopris Elementary School parents and teachers sponsored a successful bake sale during the game.

Jeff and Emily Christenson, of Challis, Idaho, are pleased to announce the birth of their baby boy, Kelter Lane, at 8:47 p.m. March 16, 2006, at The Main Event Maternity Care Center in Salmon, Idaho. He weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 2014 inches long at birth. Maternal grandparents are Joyce and Mark Rinehart, of Glenwood Springs, and paternal grandparents are Jean and Darrell Christenson, of Corvallis, Ore.
