Sunlight Mountain Resort hosted a wildly successful Business After Hours Oct. 12, in conjunction with the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association. The event, which featured music by DJ Rockin’ Rob and flowing chocolate from Belvedere Chocolate in Glenwood Springs, had more than 100 local businesspeople in attendance. Rolf Hermanson of Thrivent Financial Services won a $450 gift certificate to the Sunlight Ski & Bike Shop, and several others took home cash and Sunlight Mountain coffee mugs.

Glenn and Kristen Chadwick of Glenwood Springs announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Anne Chadwick, to Patrick Gene Cade, son of Gene and Judith Cade of Riddle, Ore. Lindsey is a 2001 graduate of CRMS, and a 2005 graduate of Whitman College with a double major in mathematics and comparative religious studies. Pat is a 2005 graduate of Whitman College with a major in mathematics and is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program in mathematics at the University at Albany, State University of New York.A summer wedding in Glenwood Springs is being planned.

Samantha Thompson and Anthony Padilla of Rifle are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Daymion James Padilla, at 10:55 p.m. Oct. 8, 2006, at Valley View Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds and was 21 inches long at birth.Proud grandparents are John and Gail Diaz of Rifle, Kevin Thompson of Palisade, Nancy and Jim Myer of Glenwood Springs, and Sonya and Anthony Padilla of Denver.
