Mrs. Joan L. Chaffin of Glenwood Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Peter F. Boyce of Dacula, Ga., are pleased to announce the marriage of their children, Courtney Elizabeth Chaffin and Timothy William Boyce. The ceremony was performed at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church Aug. 5, 2006, with the Reverend Torey Lightcap officiating. Courtney is the daughter of the late Robert F. Chaffin. She graduated from Glenwood Springs High School in 1997 and Wake Forest University in 2001, with a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology. She is employed by Harry Winston, Inc., of New York City.Timothy graduated from Wake Forest University in 2000 with a bachelor of science degree in analytical finance and a master of science in accountancy in 2001. He is employed as a manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City, and is currently on a two-year secondment in Tokyo, where the couple will reside.

The Bea Underwood Elementary Peer PALS collected over 2,600 items, which were brought to school by the kindergarten- through sixth-grade kids, during the week of Oct. 16. The Peer PALS food drive was conducted in conjunction with Make A Difference Day, Oct. 28. The class that donated the most items won the honor of helping the Peer PALS deliver all of the food to LIFT-UP. Mrs. Carpenter’s third-grade class donated the most items, and delivered the food on Monday, Oct. 23.
