Roger and Debbie Hayward of Montrose announce the engagement of their daughter, Barbara Hayward, to Andrew Donnelly, son of Bob and Lynn Donnelly of Marble.The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Montrose High School and has earned her degree in sports and fitness management. Her fiancé is a 2003 graduate of Alpine Christian Academy and has his degree as a police officer.A July wedding is planned.

Richard T. and Kathleen Walker of Carbondale announce the engagement of their son Ryan T. Walker, to Monica R. Sander, daughter of Rock and Christy Sander of Silverton, Oregon. Monica is a 2000 graduate of Silverton High School and 2004 graduate of the University of San Diego. She currently works as a financial analyst for ADP Screening & Selection Services of Fort Collins.Ryan is a 1999 graduate of Basalt High School and a 2004 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. He is a First Lieutenant in the Air Force and is a C-130 pilot, based out of Cheyenne, Wyo.An August 10, 2007, wedding is planned.

Kaitlyn DeLage, daughter of Steven and Teresa DeLage of Rifle, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Colorado Pageant to be held July 20-21 at the Denver Tech Center. Kaitlyn is 5 years old.Her sponsors include Town and Country Vet Hospital, Mountain Clear Water Company, Elder Trucking, Inc., Big H2O Service, Academy of Dance and Gymnastics and her parents.

Christopher Black, a 2003 graduate of Rifle High School, graduated with merit from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., May 25. He earned his bachelor of science degree in systems engineering with a cumulative 3.5 GPA. Chris was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and will report to the USS Decatur, a destroyer homeported in San Diego, July 2. After 18 months service on the ship, Chris will attend Nuclear Prototype School on the east coast to continue his education as a nuclear surface warfare officer. Chris is the son of Dave and Toni Black, formerly of New Castle.
