Lacey J. Hooper and Nik Schneider symbolized their love and devotion by uniting in marriage Aug. 4, 2007, at Wilderness Ranch in Craig. Proud parents are Boyd and Georgia Hooper of Rifle, and John and Barb Schneider of Omaha, Neb., who along with 75 friends and family, enjoyed celebrating this wonderful occasion with Nik and Lacey. Lacey lived and went to school in Rifle, graduating from Rifle High School in 2000. Nik graduated from high school in 1996 in Omaha. Nik owns Rain Construction Co., a frame construction company in Fort Collins, and Lacey is a beautician at The Look Salon in Fort Collins.Congratulations kids, many happy years of marriage.
Caleb Middleton enjoys his very first Entenmann’s chocolate-covered donut. His first birthday is today, Sept. 19, 2007.Caleb is the son of Chantel and James Middleton of Rifle, and grandson of Scott and Jacqueline Mishler of Silt. He is a walking bundle of joy.

Rebecca and Julio Popoca of Glenwood Springs are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Abraham Gabriel Popoca, at 2:01 p.m. Aug. 28, 2007, at Valley View Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 13.6 ounces and was 20 inches long at birth.His big brother Kevin, 212, welcomed him home.Proud grandparents are Sam and Dan Philben of Carbondale and Piedad and Felix Popoca of Glenwood Springs.
Jeff Barnes and Ashley Anderson will be married Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 at the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera in Edwards, where Jeff’s father is the director of engineering. Jeff is the son of George and Donna Barnes of New Castle and Ashley is the daughter of Mike and Cindy Anderson of Seattle.Jeff, a 2000 graduate of Roaring Fork High school, will return to the area Sept. 20.Jeff and Ashley met in San Diego, where he was stationed while serving in the U.S. Navy and Ashley was attending San Diego State University as a pre-med in chiropractic.
