Rod and Billie Milham of Silt are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Mariyn Raeann Luark Milham, at 3:15 p.m. Aug. 20, 2007, at Valley View Hospital. She weighed 3 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 16 inches long at birth.Her proud siblings are sister Miranda, 16, and brother Chayse, 7. Grandparents are Steve and Carol Burns of New Castle, Mike and Linda Ostberg of Silt and Fred and Lucy Milham of Casper, Wyo.

Harley Owners Group and Willie Zanko, director of Aspen Valley chapter of the group and a Patriot Guard rider, welcomed Matt Eubanks and his father, Jim Eubanks, Thursday, Sept. 13. Eubanks is an U.S. Army Airborne paratrooper wounded in Iraq. Eubanks and his father participated in a bow and arrow elk hunt in New Castle, sponsored by Outdoor Life Channel, the Hunting Channel, and several others.

Carbondale Elementary Students take part in Museum Week at the Mount Sopris Historical Museum, learning that history and potatoes can be fun. Potato Day is Saturday, Sept. 29, in Carbondale.
